# Post Office Franchise Scheme Guide & Commission Specification (2026)

## Eligibility & Financial Terms
- **Minimum Age**: 18 Years (No upper age ceiling).
- **Educational Qualification**: 10th Standard (Matriculation/SSC) passed from a recognized school board.
- **Security Deposit**: Minimum ₹5,000 in the form of a National Savings Certificate (NSC) pledged to the Superintendent of Post Offices.
- **Ideal Beneficiaries**: Shopkeepers, cyber café owners, stationery shops, CSC Kendra operators, rural entrepreneurs, self-help groups (SHGs).

## Official Statutory Commission Rates
- **Speed Post Booking**: ₹5.00 per article
- **Registered Article Booking**: ₹3.00 per article (+ ₹1.00 extra incentive if booking >1,000 articles/month)
- **Money Order (eMO > ₹200)**: ₹5.00 per money order
- **Money Order (eMO ₹100–₹200)**: ₹3.50 per money order
- **Postage Stamps & Stationery Sale**: 5.0% of total sales turnover
- **Retail Bill Collection (Electricity/Water)**: ₹2.00 to ₹5.00 per bill payment

## Where to Submit Application
- Filled Application Form-A must be submitted in person or by registered post to the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices (SSPO) / Superintendent of Post Offices (SPO) of the respective Postal Division.
